Media Advisory – San Diegans Speak Out: Trump’s Proposed Budget Slashes Healthcare and Food Aid From Half a Million People in the Region

Gives billionaires $4 trillion tax break while families struggle to make ends meet

What: More than 500,000 people in the San Diego region who depend on Medicaid, SNAP (food assistance), and healthcare (under ACA) are at risk under Trump’s proposed budget that gives tax breaks to greedy billionaires. While the rich get richer, our families struggle to pay for healthcare, put food on their table, and afford childcare and housing. Billionaires have taken control of our government and are robbing us of our futures–but We the People ARE the power and urge our congressional representatives to shut down the money grab!

When: Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT

Where: San Diego County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101 (East Plaza), and streamed live on YouTube
