The Trump administration recently requested $3 billion from Congress to push ahead with its misguided plans to build more walls along the southern border while laying the groundwork to hire thousands more immigration officers. 

The Southern Border Communities Coalition (SBCC), which Alliance San Diegohelps lead, sent Washington D.C. a message detailing what border communities really need.

In a few weeks, SBCC leaders will head to D.C. to educate lawmakers on the impact of bad border policies in our communities. Stay tuned for a report back.
