Count and Be Counted!

Alliance San Diego is working to ensure all San Diegans are counted in the upcoming 2020 Census. The decennial census is mandated by the Constitution, and will take place again on April 1, 2020. The goal is to count the entire population of  the United States. The data generated by the census is used for reapportionment of congressional seats, redistricting at the federal, state and local levels, as well as distribution of federal funds to support vital programs.

A TIMELINE OF SHORTCUTS AND PAYOUTS TO EXPAND THE CONVENTION CENTER

Alliance San Diego (ASD) has been at the forefront of calling for greater transparency and accountability in the ongoing discussion about possible tax increases and bonds to finance a convention center expansion.
