Mark your calendars:
31st All Peoples Celebration
Monday, January 21, 2019
Alliance San Diego is thrilled to welcome youth leader and DACA recipient Greisa Martinez Rosas, deputy executive director of United We Dream, as the keynote speaker for the 31st Annual All Peoples Celebration. Learn more about Greisa here.
The All Peoples Celebration aspires to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This annual community program is a preeminent event in San Diego County where more than 1,000 diverse community members, business leaders, elected officials, faith leaders, artists, and students come together for an inspiring program and common goal of honoring the work and the sacrifice of Dr. King.
One of the basic freedoms grants us the right to use our voices to speak words, vent, and challenge different aspects of our lives. We generate feelings and turn them into emotionally charged expressions, then forget to do something to create working solutions and onward movement. Words are powerful, but not as powerful as action.
Last year we wanted you to stand; this year we are encouraging everyone to take action, to MOVE in their purpose. Don’t just settle with voicing your desires for change, but make an effort to MOVE towards implementing change and forging new paths. MOVE with intention. MOVE with community. MOVE (forward).
