The theme of the 2016 All Peoples Celebration was “I Am San Diego.” It was a statement of inclusion: we are all an equally valuable part of this Beloved Community. It was also a statement of responsibility: we all have a role to play in ensuring that all people are treated with dignity and respect.

The program featured Emmy-award winning investigative journalist John Carlos Frey as our keynote speaker. Mr. Frey is a native of the San Diego / Tijuana region, whose cutting-edge work on human rights issues in the border region has earned him wide acclaim. He was be joined in the program by our community speaker, San Diego Community College District Chancellor Constance Carroll, who is a champion of educational equity. Both speakers embody the principles of inclusion and responsibility as proud San Diegans.
